Weddings in New Hampshire....
From the beautiful Atlantic Seacoast of NH, to the majestic White
Mountains, lakeside or in a scenic country setting every bride is sure
to find the perfect site for her wedding.
Starting in Southern NH, you'll find the Searles Castle in Windham.
It's a medieval setting with modern convenience - sure to give the
romantic touch to any ceremony and reception. In Bedford, the rustic
elegance of the Bedford Village Inn w/ it's 4 star menu and intimate
function room is a good choice for weddings of 100 or so. CR Sparks
is also located in Bedford, and offers a more traditional type of
function rooms with good food and decor. Nashua and Manchester each
have several country club locations to choose from which offer
beautiful settings and moderate prices.
Castle in the Clouds in Moultonbourogh overlooks the lake, and is sure
to give any bride her fairy tale princess wedding. Food is excellent.
Also in the center of NH's lakes region you'll find The Common Man
Inn, The Christmas Farm Inn, Gunstock Ski Area also offers mountaintop
ceremonies with indoor or outdoor receptions for the more casual
bride, The Inn at Mills Falls is right on the water and very elegant!
They've just renovated and it's beautiful. The Wolfeboro Inn is
renowned for it's beautiful setting and wonderful atmosphere and is
another great choice for the discriminating bride. Other country
clubs include Mojolaki, the Owls Nest.
Headed into the White Mountains, which offers a different sort of
beauty for each season, are some of the oldest and grandest hotels in
the country. The Mountain View Grand has the most beautiful ballroom
I've ever seen. The food is 5 star, as are the accomodations and
service. The Balsams Grand Hotel in Dixville Notch is definitely a
destination, as is the Mount Washington Hotel. All offer complete
packages for wedding ceremonies, receptions and lodging and are very
majestic in both setting and atmosphere. Smaller inns have such
personality such as the Christmas Farm Inn, the Red Jacket, Sugar Hill
Inn, as well as many others.
The Seacoast of NH is only 20 miles long, but manages to pack in some
terrific choices and views. The Wentworth By the Sea Hotel in
Newcastle is simply amazing. It's been used as the setting for
several Hollywood movies and offers unsurpassed elegance. The
Wentworth By the Sea Country Club is right down the street and caters
to the bride who wants to see the ocean while she's dancing. The food
is spectacular as is the service and scenery. Intown Portsmouth the
choices are quite varied: there's the Sheraton Harborside Hotel, the
brand new Hilton Garden Inn, The Black Pearl for smaller groups,
Portsmouth Country Club is quite scenic and very reasonably priced!
If you want to be oceanside under a tent, Galley Hatch Catering offers
a great package at Odiorne Point, Rye Harbor State Park or any of the
other state beaches and parks that strikes your fancy. NH also offers
several unique vineyard wedding places like Flag Hill Winery in Lee.
Have your ceremony overlooking the vines and enjoy the tented
reception area... or if you'd like to be indoors go to the Zorvino
Vineyard in Sandown for a rustic, charming setting in their new
function facility. Heading west away from the coast, you'll find the
newly refurbished Exeter Inn - very, very nice! There is the Oaks in
Somersworth located on a brand new golf course and offering a variety
of price points for wedding packages. In Rochester, the Governors Inn
is a historic setting with terrific food and service. Also in that
area, the Rochester Country Club seats about 100 perfectly and is
atttractive and reasonably priced. Great Bay Function Facility is
also very reasonable with excellent food. Other country clubs include
Abenaqi, Golf Club of New England (stunning!), Cocheco Country Club in
Dover as well as many others that offer wedding packages.
For brides more interested in lower prices but still great function
halls, The Elks in Portsmouth is right on the water and the food is
terrific, the Epping Legion Hall can be decorated in any style you'd
like, and there are a variety of VFW Halls, town halls w/ large rooms
that are rentable (you provide everything there, usually, ex. chairs,
tables, bar, bartender, food, etc), the Somersworth Legion Hall is
quite large as is the Rollinsford Legion. Check the yellow pages for
the towns that you're interested in!
