Robb "DJ Robbie-G" Gillies is a cancer survivor who has been in the entertainment business for over 20 years. He started as a drummer for various Northern Michigan bands at the ripe old age of 13.
By 17 he was doing some backup dancing for local entertainment companies at school dances, local television commercials, as well as, regional music programs.
By 18, he jumped at the opportunity to take a radio production class during his senior year of high school. At the same time Robb was working the club scene as a DJ/lighting tech.
After high school Robb moved on to being a wedding DJ.
17 Years later, there is no one more requested in the Northern Michigan area than "DJ Robbie-G".
Robb accredits his success in the entertainment business to years of hard work, honesty, personal commitment to his clients, marketing knowledge, and an extreme love for entertaining others. I was (and still am) extremely happy with the DJ (Rob) at my wedding reception!! He played all the music I requested and my dance floor was full all night!! Rob was very professional, kind and courteous to me from our first telephone conversation months before the wedding and up until the evening ended. He kept things running very smoothly throughout the night and was very considerate of my guests. Anything I asked of Rob he did and I am so very appreciative and thankful for all he did!!! I have had nothing but compliments from my friends and family about the entertainment although Rob should be the one to get the praise!!!!!
